The W Family! {{ Western Maine Family Photographer }}

I just never know what to expect when I meet people for their portraits. Will they be nervous, or excited or will they just plain not want to be there? It's always in my mind as I arrive to the location. This family was of the excited variety, which is very nice! They were all such good sports and willing subjects which made the session a breeze. And I had no idea they had a little model in their midst! Which one you ask? I think you can figure it out yourself- take a look...

Did you find the model in there?  Thanks Amber for sharing your gorgeous family with me!!

Betsy and David

I have to say that these two were such a blast to photograph! Betsy wanted pictures to show how strong their love was and that life and love goes on (quite marvelously in their case!) once the kids are grown. Their  affection and silliness and comfort with each other was the motivation for this shoot, and what a wonderful muse they are!

David spun and knitted her this gorgeous shawl!

A Gorgeous Family-

My lovely sister-in law and her beautiful family were in town and we got together and shot their photos. It was a really beautiful day and the kids were such troopers tromping along to different spots. Thanks so much for a great time guys!

A Family in Fairy Places

It was a gorgeous morning Saturday when I went to my good friend Tirzah's house to do their annual family portraits. They have this beautiful little enchanted path at the edge of their yard that loops around a little pond. On Saturday everything was SO green, it was almost like a rain forest!

I had lots of fun with them and got some dreamy photos. Thanks guys!

Thanks for stopping by!

Tiny Dancers

 All year long we practice and learn and dance and dance (and drive to dance and buy pink tights etc..) and finally May comes. May brings with it,  our town's huge recital. Everybody knows someone who dances in this recital put on by Broadway Academy of Dance,our best local dance studio! It was soooo much fun! They really know how to move you with dance. It always surprises me how emotional an art dance is.
 This year is my baby girl's second year of dance lessons and she did so well! She takes it so seriously and despite feeling kinda yucky all weekend, when it was time to practice or go out on that stage she was on it! Now she's already talking about next year when she gets to take ballet, tap and jazz... it might be a long summer.
 My darling husband grew up dancing with them too and when he was asked whether or not he would dance in their 20th year celebration alumni dance, he manned up and did it! He really had a good time too, despite the fact that he was the only guy on a stage full of women and dancing to a RuPaul song! It was great.

Anyway, I'm sure you're dying to see some cutie tiny dancers! Here are a couple of my baby girl and one of her besties. They were so extremely sweet in those costumes!

I'm sorry if the adorableness is too much for you to take.
Thanks for stopping by my little blog!
